It’s all science…

or at least it has been around here lately!

The 3 kids in upper elementary had their science fair today. Their projects were judged. It is optional for 3rd and 4th graders to do this and they may do it as a group or class or by themselves. 5th graders were requitred to do it. For them, it was a huge part of their grade for the quarter.

Ben’s project was a class project. Kate did her’s on her own and Megan did her’s on her own too!

The results are in!

Megan:

She got a participation award and an A for the class!!!!! Awesome!!! (though as the picture shows she was a bit bummed about not making district)

District judging is next week! We are very excited!!!!

Two Words

Chicken Pox….

the baby has it too….though not nearly as bad as big sissy does. She is beyond miserable. Poor thing has them in her throat and mouth and nose and on her eyelids….my only consolation is this has got to be it. The rest have either had it or have been immunized. (though we thought Rachie had the shot too…)

So, um….yeah….been M.I.A. again. Besides I am out of propane and can’t torch until I actually remember to throw the darn tank into the back of the van and go exchange it.

Snow, Basketball and all that jazz…

Ok, so maybe I don’t have any jazz for you but I do have the others!

Yep, it does snow in my neck of the desert about once a year, twice if we are lucky. And this past time it stuck around until…are you ready for this????? NOON!!! LOL It is gorgeous. All the way to school the kids kept saying, “Aw, look at ________! It’s so pretty!” Fill that blank in with everything from the school, a car, a house, a mailbox, literally everything! But I didn’t stop them, because they were right. It was a stunning 5 minute drive.

From our house in Cottonwood:

The drive to work, took my breath away! I actually played a tourist and took pictures from the van.

For those of you who know the rock formations, Bell Rock is in this picture:

On to basketball. Yes, I know, compltetly out of context and has nothing to do with snow but it does have to do with my life so you are subjected to it as well! hehe

We pulled up to the elementary school last night for Ben’s basketball practice and a fire truck was there. Ben was a little concerned that something may have happened. But all was fine, except for the fact that they had to practice with the Cottonwood Fire Department! He was so excited and talked about it all night! Our coach is a fireman and his buddies came over to help the team out! How cool is that???

Can you find my kiddo in the bunch?

The chicken pox, pneumonia, broncialitis and ear infections are gone….though Noah is cutting another tooth, but I should be able to get updates done a bit more consistent with healthy kids and actual sleep!

I am tired

The baby is cutting his first tooth and fighting his first ear infection. I am getting no sleep!

I did manage over the weekend to snap some pics. Today, I was able to find time to edit them while holding a fussy baby.

Another preview!

I haven’t even added these to Flickr yet! I had them soaking in water for 3 days and finally cleaned them up late last night and grabbed pics this morning! I am really sad that I broke my favorite leaf, but I will make more! Also, made some beads into earrings! I plan on selling those not only on etsy but also in our store and the other 2 places you can find my jewelry and beads IRL! ๐Ÿ˜‰

So here they are!

Exhausted

One may ask how I spend my days. And well, most would boggle at my answers. Today, boggled my mind.

Wanna hear??? tuff toodles, you get to anyways ๐Ÿ˜‰

A bit of background before I start the day.
Our oldest turned 17 last week. We bought him ticket’s to a Phoenix Coyote’s NHL game. A “boy’s night out”; game is tonight. Hubby went, my BIL went and my sister’s boyfriend went along with said son. And another tidbit of info (you will understand where this fits in when you are reading) about 2 days ago my dryer quit, I even tried to take it apart to fix it, thought I had it but nope, it’s definately dead! Oh and on Thursday nights, our oldest dd babysits for a friends little boy.

now just a bit of my day (leaving out little “minor” things LOL ugh)

~wake up
~get kids ready for school
~bus run and drop kids off at school
~come home get sammy, noah and joey dressed
~mess around with dryer
~get call from todd to bring the pick up truck to home depot
~load 3 littles into truck
~pick up new dryer
~run home with the 3 youngest help unload dryer
~clean up good and get dryer installed (by myself cause hubby had to work our store)
~run jojo up to therapy
~get call from todd that i am needed at work asap
~grab lunch for me and 3 youngest
~pick up joey from therapy
~drop joey off at preschool (after he eats in the car on the way)
~run to work get some things done
~run home with about 5 minutes before bus comes
~get kids off bus
~inform kids that are home of my schedule of hurried events for the rest of the day
~had to run back to the store to help with one thing since todd was coming home early
~get a call at work from our therapist (who had jojo and auggie)
jojo cracked his head open at the park, she stopped the bleeding but she thought he needed to be seen
~call my sister while speeding home
~she comes and watches the kids and makes them supper and makes them do homework LOL since todd had already left and ashley was about to
~get home
~rush jojo to the er
~sit for 2.5 freaking hours while he is dripping blood and crying
~get him back to a room
~they get him cleaned up while he is screaming bloody murder (i have mentioned before that Josiah has autism and global developmental delays, he functinos on about a 2 year old level, yet he is a very large 5 year old)
~he gets 5 staples, no numbing stuff
~go home exhausted (and btw had baby with for ALL of this)
~sister helps me get jojo settled and then leaves

I didn’t eat until about 8:45 pm. After I made calls to Todd and our oldest dd. And our therapist called very worried about him.
jojo is out of it, he did get some motrin, he’s not throwing up but we are watching for signs of head trauma/concussion

the rest of the night is kinda a blur. the other kids are obviously upset. Auggie is freaked out. He doesn’t understand why they had to use staples. He was crying for Josiah, which is unusual for him. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Broke my heart.

The boys are on their way back from Phoenix and I am snuggled into bed with my nice warm blankie and slowly drifting into slumberland.

Pics to come tomorrow. I got the saddest pic of Joey at the hospital, head all bandaged up. I sent it to my email and am just waiting for the thing to go from phone to computer! LOL technology, isn’t it grand???

Didja see? huh? huh? didja?

I got to torch last night! *dances*

I already added them to my Flickr page so the little “thingy” on the side should show them but just incase ๐Ÿ˜‰ I plan to give you sneak peeks ๐Ÿ™‚

Now to get my tush moving and get some jewelry made. I am, with other artists, going to have a space at the artisans galleria over the Holiday Season!

Where have I been?

It’s officially fall here in AZ. Yep, we finally turned off the a/c, though it looks like its gonna heat up again later this week! School is in full swing, along with all the “extras” that the kids are involved in. Josiah got some new therapy added to our schedule. Two more things to schedule into our already busy weeks. Our hope is that all the extra work he is doing will pay off! It is certainly wearing him out! And it’s busy season for the business. That means late nights, early mornings and lots of exhaustion….but we are not complaining!!! All of this has left me little time to create and play. I am going to make sure that I get some of that done this week.

The baby turned 5 months old last week so I amย gonna leave you with a pic of him! (ignore the unmade bed, we try to let him crawl around up there since Josiah trips over him if he is on the floor, owie)
